Get clear,

SEO Audit

I'll review your website and tell you exactly what's helping and hurting your Google rankings. You get a clear action plan, not vague recommendations.

$595 Report delivered in 5-7 days

$595 covers a bounded small-business site. Larger, ecommerce, and multi-location audits get quoted separately.

What I Check

Five areas, reviewed by hand, then a written plan in the order you should work it

Technical

Can Google crawl the site, load it quickly, and read it on a phone? When this part is broken, nothing else you do shows up.

On-Page

Titles, headings, and which page is aimed at which search. Most small business sites are aiming at nothing in particular.

Local

Google Business Profile, the map pack, and whether your name, address, and phone match everywhere they show up.

Links

Who links to you, what the businesses ranking above you have, and whether an old SEO vendor left you something toxic.

Content

Whether your pages answer what people around here actually type into Google, and which pages you're missing.

The Plan

Every finding written down in priority order, so the first thing on the list is the thing that moves the most.

Why Get an SEO Audit?

You have a website, but it's not bringing in leads. Maybe you used to rank well but slipped. Maybe you've never ranked. Either way, something's wrong, and guessing won't fix it.

An SEO audit tells you exactly what's happening. Not vague advice like "improve your content." Specific issues: your homepage takes 8 seconds to load, your title tags are missing keywords, your Google Business Profile has the wrong category.

If you want the wider version of this, what a full website audit covers and why anybody bothers, I wrote it up in What Is a Website Audit. This page is the search half of that, and it's the front door to the rest of my Louisville SEO company work.

What the $595 Audit Covers

Five areas, five things I check in each one. All of it by hand, not a tool report with my logo on the cover.

Technical

Google has to reach the page, load it, and read it on a phone.

  • Whether the pages that matter are indexed, or blocked by robots.txt or a leftover noindex tag.
  • Load speed on a phone on cell data, and which images or scripts cause the wait.
  • How the site renders on a real phone, not a narrow desktop window.
  • Broken links, redirect chains, and pages nothing on the site links to.
  • Duplicate versions of the same page: www and non-www, http and https, slash and no slash.

On-Page

This is what each page tells Google it's for.

  • Every title tag and meta description, and whether either one names a search people type.
  • Heading structure, starting with one H1 per page that says what the page is for.
  • Which page should rank for which term, and where two of yours fight over the same one.
  • Internal links, including the service pages nothing on the site points to.
  • Schema markup, so Google reads your business type, address, and phone without guessing.

Local

If your customers drive to you, this is usually where the money is.

  • Google Business Profile: primary category, services, hours, photos, and whether it's verified.
  • Whether your name, address, and phone match the site, the profile, and the directories.
  • Duplicate or unclaimed listings, including ones on an old address or an old business name.
  • Where you land in the map pack for your main service, and how far out that holds.
  • Reviews: how many, how recent, and whether anybody answers them.

Links

Links take the longest to fix, so you want to know early if they're the problem.

  • Who links to you now, and which of those links are worth anything.
  • What the businesses ranking above you have that you don't.
  • Local links you can earn without buying: suppliers, trade groups, chambers, sponsorships, press you already got.
  • Anything toxic an old SEO vendor left behind, like paid links or directory blasts.
  • How you link to yourself, because what you point at from the homepage reads as important.

Content

Content isn't word count. It's whether the page answers what somebody typed.

  • Pages getting impressions and no clicks, pulled from your own Search Console.
  • Searches you already show up for with no page aimed at them.
  • Thin pages, meaning a service you sell with two sentences under it.
  • Pages saying the same thing, so Google picks one and it's often the wrong one.
  • Whether the page talks to the customer or about the company.

A Sample Finding

Every finding in the report looks like this. Here's one, with the business, the trade, and the URL taken out.

Page /services/[service]/
Finding The page carries a noindex tag. It's been there since the site launched.
Why it matters Google reaches the page and is being told not to list it. That's the service with the best margin on it.
Fix Remove the tag, request indexing in Search Console, then link the page from the homepage and the two related service pages.
Priority Critical. Nothing else on the list matters until this one is done.

No letter grade, no score out of 100, no color-coded dashboard. The page, what's wrong, why you care, what to do, and where it sits in the order. Smaller findings get the same treatment, down to a phone number that isn't tappable on a phone.

What You Get: A Written Plan and a 30-Minute Call

Two things, and both of them are yours to keep.

The written plan

Every finding in the format above, in priority order, in a document you can forward to anybody. All five areas, plus what I'd do first, second, and third. Plain English, with no jargon you have to go look up.

You get it in 5 to 7 days once I have the site and, if you'll share them, read-only access to Search Console and the Google Business Profile.

The 30-minute call

We go through the list together, on the phone or in person if you're in Louisville. You ask what anything means and I answer it. Most people come off that call with two or three things they can fix themselves that week.

What you do with it

Fix it yourself, hand it to the developer you already have, or hire me for the work. The plan reads the same either way.

How the $595 Audit Fits With the $250 Diagnostic

Two different doors, and people mix them up. Here's the difference.

The $595 SEO audit is the SEO door. The site works, it just isn't getting found. You get all five areas reviewed, the written plan, and the call. The fee buys the diagnosis and the plan. It isn't a deposit, and it doesn't come off a monthly price later.

The $250 diagnostic is the broken-site door. Something is down, slow, hacked, or nobody can log in and nobody knows why. That $250 is credited toward a Rescue Sprint or a rebuild if you book one within 30 days. It lives on the Website Rescue page.

If the site works and the phone isn't ringing, take the audit. If the site itself is the problem, start with the diagnostic. Call me if you can't tell and I'll say which one fits. I'd rather point you at the cheaper one than sell you the wrong one.

Want somebody working the list every month instead of handing it back to you? That's what monthly Louisville SEO covers, and the prices are on that page. The audit is the door into it, not a requirement for it.

Common Questions

A written plan covering all five areas, technical, on-page, local, links, and content, in priority order. Then a 30-minute call to go through it. Everything in plain English with specific recommendations you can act on.

Yes. After the audit, I can quote you on fixing the issues, or you can take the report to another developer. Either way, you’ll know exactly what needs to happen next.

SEO takes time. Technical fixes can show results in weeks. Content and link improvements typically take 3-6 months. I'll tell you what to expect based on your specific situation.

Yes. Free tools run automated checks and give generic advice. I manually review your site, look at your specific market and competitors, and give you recommendations that actually make sense for your business.
